About

If you’re anything like me, your sustainability journey started with a documentary, article, book, or maybe even a beautiful hike and interpretive/naturalist sign. Since then, you’ve likely gone through some ups and downs. The environmental community has long been accused of being pretty focused on gloom and doom…there’s plenty to be concerned about. But there’s also a ton of reasons to be very, very optimistic. If we believe there is no hope, we’ll give up. A few people here, a few there, then it spreads…a toxic lethargy and self-fulfilling prophecy. But if we believe we can make a difference, maybe we do a few things here, a few things there, and it spreads…a virtuous cycle. I don’t know about you, but I prefer the virtuous cycle to the toxic lethargy.
